FOI participated in another Erasmus+ Combined Intensive Program (BIP) "Next-Level - Innovation for sustainability and inclusion"

The Faculty of Organization and Informatics has once again participated in Erasmus+ Combined Intensive Programs (BIP) under the name "Next-Level - Innovation for sustainability and inclusion" in Amsterdam. The lecturer from FOI was Martina Tomičić Furjan, and the students who participated and earned 5 ECTS from FOI were Jana Pučar, Klara Škaulj, Mateo Vujica and Benjamin Filip Šikač. Other partners involved in the implementation of the program, in addition to FOI, were Hogeschool van Amsterdam, Netherlands (coordinator), Karel de Grote University College, Antwerp, Belgium and Hochschule der Medien, Stuttgart, Germany. Total of 37 students and 6 lecturers participated in the program.

Bloxberg becomes the first Association for the Advancement of Science and Blockchain e.V.

The fifth bloxberg summit took place as a hybrid conference in Protaras, Cyprus, from October 26-27. This time the annual Consortium meeting was organized for the fifth time in a row by the Max Planck Digital Library (MPDL) in collaboration with the University of Nicosia, one of the bloxberg founders, and FOI is among them. Twenty-two institutions took part in this year’s summit, hosted at the Sunrise Pearl Hotel by the University of Nicosia. Next to the sessions on member activities, bloxberg projects, and working group updates, a significant change took place regarding bloxberg’s legal status. Assoc. Prof. Katarina Tomičić Pupek, Ph.D. attended the Cyprus meeting on behalf of FOI.

FOI joins Bloxberg – the consortium for the advancement of science and blockchain

The Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI), University of Zagreb, situated in the City of Varaždin, is the first institution of higher education in the Republic of Croatia to join BLOXBERG. It is a secure global blockchain established by a consortium of leading research organizations to provide scientists with decentralized services worldwide.

FOI Welcome Week for international students held at FOI

FOI International Relations Office organized a Welcome Week to welcome international students who will study at FOI in the winter semester of 2022/23. The event was held from 26th to 30th September 2022.

Online Student Poster and Presentation section held on first conference day

This year's Student Section, organized within the CECIIS 2022 international conference, gathered 11 young researchers. The Student Section was held on the first conference day, Wednesday, September 21st . The topics of their research are not only related to the use of information and communication technology, but also to a wide range of interdisciplinary areas.

CECIIS 2022 panel discussion brought together academic and economic sector representatives

This year's panel discussion ‘Smart university for smart industry’ was held on the first conference day, Wednesday, September 21st, 2022 at the University of Dubrovnik and online, as it was open to all interested participants. The panel brought together international scientists and the representatives of two big IT companies, CECIIS 2022 supporters. The panel was led by chair Full Prof. Blaženka Divjak, Ph.D.

CECIIS 2022 conference officially opened in Dubrovnik

After 32 years of being held in Varaždin, the 33rd international scientific conference, Central European Conference on Information and Intelligent Systems - CECIIS 2022, was officially opened today, September 21, 2022, on the premises of the University of Dubrovnik, and for the first time in the city of Dubrovnik.
