The teachers of marketing courses, with the help of the Center for Student Support and Career Development (CPSRK), implemented one of the innovative teaching methods in their subjects this academic year - Work Based Learning. On Tuesday, June 11, 2024, presentations of the final project solutions to the task set by the digital marketing manager of the company Konzum plus d.o.o., Maja Šarić, were held as part of the Internet Marketing course in the 1st year of the Graduate Study in Entrepreneurship Economics.

The project solution included the creation of a digital marketing plan on the topic of employer branding for Gen Z. A total of 22 students divided into 5 teams offered their concrete solutions and successfully presented them in front of Maja Šarić and Katarina Havaić Tomac, representatives of Konzum plus d.o.o. and subject teachers.

"It is a real pleasure to work with the ambitious professor Iva and her promising students, who recognized the importance of practical experience in the dynamic world of digital marketing. This project, Employer branding for Gen Z, in my opinion is very useful for everyone: the students easily identified with it and in their works gave interesting ideas and their perspective of Konzum as an employer, which gives us a very valuable insight into the way of thinking and expectations our potential future colleagues. Congratulations to the students and professor. I am looking forward to future joint projects" - said Maja Šarić.

The comments of the teams involved in the mentioned project task are also positive, and some of them are:

"The task of the project was challenging and demanding. The project required a detailed analysis of the market and the entire business of Konzum in order to gain insight into the current situation in the company. The goal was to find a way in which Konzum can approach Generation Z as an attractive employer. It was necessary to look at how Konzum currently stands in relation to the competition and identify the areas that need to be improved. The idea of our plan was to focus on the most popular social networks today and to develop a campaign on them with regular monitoring of trends. Also, in order to gain the attention of members of Generation Z, it is necessary to introduce additional benefits for Konzum employees."

"We liked the cooperation with Konzum because, in addition to researching and writing an e-marketing plan, we had the opportunity to learn about the way in which real projects and solutions are planned in companies, and we believe that more projects like this should be introduced to the study of Business Economics."

"Collaboration with Konzum was a challenging, but ultimately very nice and interesting experience. Creating a marketing plan, the goal of which was to place Konzum as a desirable employer for generation Z, enabled us to work creatively and think about new ideas and solutions. We especially liked that we presented the ideas and the work itself to real employees and managers at Konzum. We believe that this experience could greatly benefit us to help you on your career path."

"We really liked the possibility of cooperating with a large company like Konzum and solving problems on a real example. As for the case study itself, at first we didn't like it too much considering that it is about employment in sales (focusing on the position of a salesperson). The task was quite demanding because it was not aimed at a higher education job, which is closer to us students, but was focused on a secondary vocational education, therefore it was necessary to invest a lot more effort in research in order to come up with a quality solution, but through teamwork and creation of the plan, the task became interesting and interesting for us to create."

"As a representative of the MaxFly team, I am satisfied with the completed project. My team found this task quite challenging and interesting, and through joint work we managed to develop an innovative solution that met all the given criteria. We also created an extremely positive experience in cooperation with Konzum and we are glad to have met some Konzum employees. The presentation of the solution itself went well, with constructive feedback. We look forward to future collaborations and new projects that will bring added value to our education."

We hereby thank our partner company Konzum d.o.o. on cooperation!
