Students from the Faculty of Organization and Informatics participated in the international competition “A Storytelling Competition for Sustainability” , which took place as part of Sustainability Week from April 7 to 11, 2025, at the Circular Economy University of Pannonia - Nagykanizsa in Hungary.

The team, consisting of students from the Entrepreneurship Economics program – Petra Taradi, Tihana Triplat, Patrik Šantek and Lora Petrinjak – presented the topic Quality of Students Nutrition - Focus on the Student Canteen in Varaždin. They offered an innovative and sustainable concept for improving student nutrition, with a particular focus on the quality and accessibility of meals in the student canteen. Competing against 13 teams, the FOI students won first place, marking a significant achievement and recognition of their engagement, creativity, and knowledge.

Alongside the students, Nikolina Dreven, PhD and Larisa Hrustek attended Sustainability Week, where they delivered a lecture on the implementation of sustainability principles in higher education. Through examples of teaching and extracurricular activities, they showcased ways in which sustainability can be integrated into all aspects of the educational process and institutional operations.
