FOI signed new bilateral agreements for the exchange of students and staff with universities from the Czech Republic, France and Lithuania

The University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics actively expands its partner network of international universities every year. For the academic year 2025/26 until 2028/29, in addition to already existing partnerships, the Faculty signed three new bilateral agreements with prestigious universities in the Czech Republic, France and Lithuania.

The Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) has established new agreements to facilitate outgoing and incoming mobility of students, academic, and non-academic staff as part of the Erasmus+ mobility programme. These agreements have been signed with the following universities:

  • Czech Technical University in Prague (ČVUT), Faculty of Information Technology

ČVUT’s Faculty of Information Technology is one of the most renowned institutions for studying computer science in Central Europe. The Faculty offers a wide range of educational programs in areas such as computer engineering, artificial intelligence, information security, and digital technologies. With a strong focus on innovation and research, the Faculty collaborates with leading international companies and institutions, creating numerous career development opportunities for students. ČVUT is also highly committed to internationalization and fostering global collaboration, making it an attractive destination for students and researchers worldwide.

Four FOI IT students will have the opportunity to participate in mobility at this prestigious university. The agreement was initiated through the efforts and project collaboration of Assoc. Prof. Mario Konecki, Ph.D.

  • ECE Engineering School, Paris

ECE Engineering School in Paris is a prestigious French institution specializing in education in fields such as electrical engineering, computer science, telecommunications, artificial intelligence, robotics, and energy systems. This agreement was initiated by ECE, and it offers mobility opportunities for two FOI IT students and two academic staff members.

  • Vilnius University (VU), Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics

Founded in 1579, Vilnius University is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the Baltic region and beyond. Known for its international orientation, VU offers numerous English-taught programs that attract students from all over the world. The university has strong connections with global academic institutions and industries, enabling students and researchers to participate in international projects, exchanges, and collaborations.

The Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, with which FOI has signed an agreement, stands out for its high-quality teaching and innovative research, focusing on future technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, biotechnology, and digital transformation.

Two FOI IT students and two academic staff members will have the opportunity to engage in mobility at Vilnius University. This agreement was initiated through the efforts and project collaboration of Prof. Vjeran Strahonja, Ph.D.
