FOI organizes a series of training sessions for teaching staff with the aim to enhance teaching competencies

In February, the Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) is launching a series of nine training sessions designed to support educators, with a particular focus on assisting junior faculty and teaching assistants in enhancing their teaching competencies. This initiative aims to help educators adapt to modern educational challenges through professional development and mentorship from experienced faculty members and researchers.

With the integration of new technologies and evolving teaching methodologies, educators face growing challenges in delivering high-quality instruction. To address this, FOI is providing a platform for junior faculty to gain valuable skills and knowledge, improving both their teaching effectiveness and understanding of pedagogical and technical aspects of education.

The program covers a broad range of topics, including learning design and analytics in the era of AI, fundamentals of educational psychology, innovative teaching methods, AI applications in research, and cybersecurity hygiene. Workshops will also explore digital work-life boundaries, multiple regression analysis, journal selection for research publication, and AI integration in higher education. These sessions will be led by renowned FOI educators, offering participants the opportunity to learn from their expertise and experience.

A special emphasis is placed on pedagogical training, which is crucial for those starting their teaching careers as assistants or lecturers. The "Fundamentals of Educational Psychology" and "Teaching Essentials" workshops are mandatory for junior teaching staff who have not yet completed prior pedagogical training, ensuring they acquire key teaching skills and a deeper understanding of the learning process.
