The postgraduate specialist studies are performed in the area of Social Sciences within one and a half year period and upon successful completion of the study the students receive the academic title the University Specialist.

About the Study Programmes
Within the postgraduate specialist studies the students receive the specialist knowledge and skills necessary for the job market. The study leaders, as well as all teachers and associates, take care of the professional study development and thus making this study the generator of economy development within certain region and within a society as a whole.
The following specialist postgraduate programmes are delivered at the Faculty of Organization and Informatics:
- Information Age Organizations Engineering and Re-Engineering (IAOER)
- Information Systems Security Management and Auditing (ISSMA)
- Business Systems Management (BSM)
Academic Title
Upon successful completing these study programmes the students acquire a title University Specialist of certain field.
The goal of the study programme Information Age Organizations Engineering and Re-Engineering (IRAOER) is to empower students with the knowledge necessary for the development of the efficient business processes on strategic and operational level.

To enable each organization to clearly declare its mission, present its vision and to choose the optimal strategy to efficiently reach the set goals as well as to enable further growth and development.
Establisher and Performer
The study programme was established and it is performed by the Faculty of Organization and Informatics and this study is a direct link to its research activities as well as to the transfer of knowledge to new generations of researchers and to competent professionals.
Study Duration
The length of the postgraduate specialist study Information Society Organizations Re-Engineering is one and a half year (1,5) and it is performed within three educational cycles (3 semesters). Each semester includes the lectures within basic (compulsory) and optional disciplines. Students may choose to complete the study in real time or in their own time according to their other obligations and possibilities. The key success of students is their active involvement in all teaching forms. The lectures are held in Varaždin, on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings.
Competences
Upon finishing the university postgraduate specialist study in Information Society Organizations Re-Engineering students will have acquired the following competences:
- Defining the mission and vision of an organization, determining its strategic goals and defining strategies for the achievement of these goals
- Reengineering, enhancement and optimization of business processes in profit and non-profit organizations, based on their strategic goals
- Strategic planning of the development of information systems and efficient application of contemporary information and communications technologies
- Application of contemporary methods of organizational management, based on novel information and communications technologies
- Leadership and participation in projects of information and informatics infrastructure the development
- Measuring organizational performance and organizing a measurement management system
- Planning the implementation of information and communications technologies and e-business introduction.
Academic Title
Upon successful finishing and defending the final specialist paper the students acquire 90 ECTS points and a title University Specialist in Information Age Organizations Engineering and Re-engineering, univ.spec.inf.
Study Fee
The complete study fee is 35.000 HRK (15.000 HRK during application and 2 instalments in the amount of 10.000 HRK during the study).

The goal of the Information Systems Security Management and Auditing (ISSMA) study programme is through continuous cooperation with renowned experts, as well as leading scientists in the field of information security, to ensure the transfer of key knowledge and skills to students.

About the Study
This postgraduate specialist study programme is designed for the wide circle of possible students: engineers and specialists that design and create such systems on daily basis, information system auditors, managers responsible for security, intern revision, directors, managers of ICT sectors, Audit Office Heads, Security Department Heads as well as similar profiles. Experts and scientists from the Faculty of Organization and Informatics have included in the content of the study program the topics that are most current in the field of information security. The study is designed in such a way that each subject combines theory and practice, so the study is taught by teachers and experts from FOI and partner foreign higher education institutions, and also includes recognized experts from the IT industry. Given that this is a specialist postgraduate study, the transfer of professional knowledge and experience to students, as well as solving specific problems from practice, is crucial for this way of education.
The content of the course is adjust with the European e-competences framework, for the necessary competencies and knowledge of profiles in the field of information security. In addition, it is harmonized with a number of international professional competencies, such as ISACA, GIAC, ECCOUNCIL, IAPP. The entire preparatory course for taking the world's leading professional certificates in this field, such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), is integrated into the study program. More precisely, the contents of the course are mapped to the knowledge required for taking certain certificates. The study has five compulsory subjects covering basic areas and 14 elective courses, the selection of which can be completed with subspecialist knowledge and competencies in the field:
- Information Security Management
- Information Security Architecture design
- Information Security Auditing

However, following the trends in online learning and the needs of the participants, the study is also performed in an online environment. Since the lectures are given by renowned professors from abroad, the classes are conducted in Croatian and English.

Therefore, the study is designed for all individuals wishing to gain new knowledge in management and leading the modern business systems, in both private and public sectors. Managers from big enterprises as well as the entrepreneurs from small and medium enterprises will be provided with the knowledge and experience to be able to enhance their daily business processes.
