Throughout September, University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics hosted a Summer school organized jointly by FOI and its partner engineering school ESIEA from France. The program, which was held from September 2nd to 25th, 2024, involved 23 students and 4 professors.
The jubilee 35th international scientific conference CECIIS 2024, Central European Conference on Information and Intelligent Systems was officially opened on Wednesday, September 18th, 2024, at the Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) in Varaždin. The conference, which lasted until September 20th, gathered a large number of scientists, researchers, representatives of the academic community and industry, from 14 countries and 3 continents.
From September 2 to 25, 2024, the Faculty of Organization and Informatics hosts the FOI Summer School 2024. This summer school is primarily intended for students from our partner institution, the French ESIEA, who are studying information security.
The CECIIS international conference is once again gathering a large number of students from different countries as part of the 14th Student Online Section. The leaders of the CECIIS Student Section are Full Prof. Violeta Vidaček Hainš, PhD. from FOI and Full Prof. Victoria Appatova, Ph.D. from the University of Cincinnati in Ohio, USA, and Antonela Devčić, Ph.D.
The 12th Student's Symposium on Research and Intercultural learning was held from July 10 to July 21th, 2024 at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio, Indiana State University in Terre Haute, IN and DePaul University Chicago, USA.
FOI students participated in the second summer school of the Erasmus+ project DEMO that was held in Bucharest, Romania from July 14th to July 19th 2024.
The summer break at the Faculty of Organization and Informatics begins on Monday, July 29 and lasts until Friday, August 16, 2024. Enjoy your summer!
As part of the 'Brucoš 101' project, the portal Srednja.hr declared the best student projects in the country and rewarded them, and second place was won by the Student Council of FOI for the project 'Green step forward: Days of sustainable development', which was carried out in the spring in Varaždin. Brucoš 101 is intended for all those who plan to become students and helps them prepare for graduation and introduces them to the world of studying.
At the CS2 tournament, which was a part of the A1 Student eChallenge, six universities and 36 students competed last week and FOI team won the tournament! Overall 260 rounds were played and 11 maps, out of which Dust2 and Mirage were the most played. See more below...
