Assoc. prof. Igor Balaban, PhD from FOI (project coordinator), Ms Gordana Jugo from CARNET and Marcelo Maina, Ph. D. from UOC gave a few words of introduction as well as MNU Vice Chancellor Ali Fawaz Shareef, Ph. D. and MNU Project Manager Fathimath Nasiha Abdul Muhaimin, M.Ed. The ceremony was moderated by Aishath Shaheen, Deputy Vice Chancellor of the MNU.
During the initial meeting and the second day visit to Maldives, Project Coordinator, Assoc. Prof. Igor Balaban, Ph. D. and Ms Shimna Shakeeb, AMED project collaborator from the Maldives National University joined the national Villa Televison programme, and later on the project teams were welcomed by MNU Chancellar Dr Mohamed Latheef.
AMED project (Advancing higher education in Maldives through E- learning Development) is funded by the Erasmus+ programme aimed at strengthening capacities in high education.
The goal is to establish a robust system at MNU for the development and delivery of e-learning in Maldives.
